This article, published in the L.A. Times on August 12, 1990, was written by a former owner of our home and obit writer for the Times, Burt A. Folkart. My neighbor kindly shared it with me, and I felt compelled to pass it on. The neighborhood has changed over the years, but it remains a haven above downtown with breathtaking views and tranquility. Oh, how I wish I could visit the Hotel, which closed almost a century ago. Enjoy.
